A company previously developing real estate projects on the seaside decided to bring its expertise and coastal spirit to Vilnius. In the villa project located near the Buivydiškės pond and surrounded by trees, the goal was to find a facade solution that would allow future buyers to feel the seaside atmosphere. The facades in this project were best suited to “Sugi Ban Wood” cladding, prepared using traditional Japanese technology of charred wood.

The project stands out for its scale – 46 individual villas have been built here. It is the first real estate project of such size in the Vilnius area to use charred wood cladding for facades.

The villas are designed for people seeking private relaxation in nature. The architects met this need by leveraging the terrain and natural elements: wooden windows, terraces overlooking the forest or pond, and, of course, charred wood cladding with natural patterns. The diversity of colors in the surrounding nature allowed for the use of various shades of charred wood cladding. This preserved aesthetics and avoided monotony in the project.
